So, I’ll be there for CSEA now that corporate interests groups are trying to tear unions down.” — Stephen Nocella, Suffolk County Educational Employees Local and Linderhurst School District Buildings and Grounds Unit.

Retirement already looks good on you and your awesome wife Kathy. Two great union activists.

Local 870 Open House a Success!

Suffolk Educational local 870 Open house Info fair was a great success thanks to the over 100 members that attended. The wonderful tasting food and raffles were very much enjoyed, This is a day that gives back to our Local 870 members and we are proud of this event.

Please note that we do this every year in October so please look for future open house dates in 2016. Lunch and hot buffet served all day. Vendors attended with information and promotional gift give aways. We raise money from the raffles to add to the raffle fundraiser at our Annual Conference in March in which we use to give out 4 $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors of Local 870 members.

A great big thank you to all those that participated and congratulations to all the lucky raffle gift winners. Together we enjoyed a wonderful day of union solidarity.
